Weyerbacher – Merry Monks – Belgian Golden Ale
Appearance: Hazy orange with a thin head and runny lacing.
Aroma: White wine specifically chardonnay, peaches, grapes and apricots.
Taste: Sweet white fruits, floral yeast but almost absent in hop notes.
Mouthfeel: Creamy consistency, spritzy carbonation, medium-full body and a quick finish.
Very enjoyable beer, definitely a pre/post meal or paired with something equally strong in flavor. The sweet is bold and the 9.3% ABV lends itself to that. Also nice to mention the Bourbon-esque warming effect on the throat, a perfect beer for winter. -91/100-
