Rodenbach – Grand Cru – Flanders Red Ale
Appearance: Ruby brown, thin creamy head with spotty lacing.
Aroma: Red wine, sweet dark fruits, nutty.
Taste: Red wine, “sweet tarts”, floral yeast, citrus.
Mouthfeel: velvety consistency, champagne like carbonation, medium-full bodied and a lasting wet finish.
My first foray into Sour Ales. I have to say I am in pressed. I was hesitant and heard a lot of negative comments about these beers but I enjoyed it. The complexity is a real treat and you can taste the differences in young and aged ales. -94/100-
