Rogue Old Crustacean Barley Wine ’12

Appearance: Cloudy deep red, average creamy & rocky head with ringed lacing.

Aroma: Plumbs, apricots, hazelnut, tropical fruits, honey and wood.

Taste: Sweet caramel and honey to start then the transformation begins… Chocolate >>> espresso >>> pine and earth finish that lingers.

Mouthfeel: Smooth consistency, light carbonation, medium body and a long dry finish.

Great presentation. The first sip  makes you sit back from sweetness but then bitter cuts it down to a beautiful balance.A great sipper alone or paired with food, the warming sensation makes it particularly perfect for the winter months.
