Weihenstephaner Oktoberfestbier

I know it is kind of late for Oktoberfests, but hey, they are on sale!

Appearance: Clear straw, rocky lasting head with thick lacing.

Aroma: Grains, citrus and spices.

Taste: Sweet bread/buttered biscuits, grains, nutmeg and hints of pine & earth on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Crisp consistency, spritzy carbonation, medium body with an average finish.

One of my favorite “Traditional” Oktoberfests so far, I feel it keeps the essence of the original beer and adds that spice of the season. It really isn’t a wower in the aroma or scent categories but then you sip this baby and it all comes around.
