Pike Brewing Co – Auld Acquaintance

Appearance: Cloudy Amber, creamy lasting head with full lacing.

Aroma: Cinnamon toast, nutmeg, clove and grains.

Taste: Nutty & toasty, citrus rind, hints of bitter hops on the back end.

Mouthfeel: Viscous consistency, medium carbonation, full body an an average wet finish.

More of a balanced beer than it smells. I was expecting big & sweet but received toasty with a sweet and bitter balance. I’m craving a big hearty stew to eat with this beer.
