Bell’s – HopSlam – Double IPA

Usually I wouldn’t review a brewery back to back but the rarity of this beer called for action!

Appearance: Hazy Gold, creamy & rocky head simmers quickly to thin and sticks around, crazy thick lacing.

Aroma: Turpentine, honey, grapefruit, blue spruce and honey dew.

Taste: Honey, grapefruit, pine, leafy and alcohol.

Mouthfeel: Viscous consistency, mild carbonation, full body with a lasting dry finish.

Amazing complexity in the aroma that carries over to the taste. The malt & honey mellow out the “Slam” that I was expecting. Really enjoyable brew throughout, leaving me warm and satisfied and the 10% ABV doesn’t hurt either.         -95/100-
